Artificial Rock "Mock-Rock" or Stone Work

Creating an environment by design out of a combination of concrete construction methods. Depending on the project and requirements this process can vary. Typically steel reinforcement is installed either by design or following engineers plans and sprayed with wet mix shotcrete to retain a sloping or vertical face. Once applied, Gunite "dry-shot" is then used over the wet mix as a carving coat on the surface to create the desired look. Paints and stains can also be used to colour the area. This can range from natural bush rock, sandstone, block walls, or to imitate the surrounding environment. Sea walls, retaining walls, water features, animal enclosures and pool surrounds are common uses of this process.

Retaining Walls

Shotcrete retaining walls can be a more cost effective and faster process than other construction methods. Using steel re enforcement anchored into rocks or piers, or supported by footings or ground anchors, shotcrete can be applied to retain slopes, vertical banks and in some cases inverted areas. Drainage can be installed inside the concrete wall which provides a long term solution to retaining problems. There is a wide range of finishes that can be applied to the shotcrete to ensure it meets all aesthetic requirements.

Shotcrete Pool Shells

Using shotcrete and a range of leveling and "cutting" tools, concrete pool shells are sprayed and shaped by our team to create a concrete pool shell that can be tiled or finished alternatively.

Architectural Shotcrete Designs

Shotcrete can be shaped in ways that many other construction products cannot. Ezispray has been a part of many specific jobs that require certain shapes and designs that are out of the ordinary. Curved handrails and bench seats, skate parks, firepits and suspended off form work are all achievable with the correct preparation and engineering.
